About Lori
Hello friends! Its’ a pleasure to meet you, virtually speaking, that is. Where to begin “about me”? Well, I am a Greenville native. I was born at Greenville General Hospital which has long way been gone, making way for the Greenville Hospital System of present. I attended local schools and graduated from Mauldin High School long before it became the gigantic school it is today. (It was still awesome back then too!)
My parents built a home off Woodruff Road in 1986 and we officially moved “to the country”. That is right friends, it was a two lane road with a grocery store, gas station, church and cemetery and that was about it. I would never have dreamed it would be what it is today. I went to Winthrop University where I earned a degree in Integrated Marketing and came home to start my life in the “real world”. I have strong ties to the community through 4 generations of family living here, church roots and life long friends who remain here today. Greenville is an incredible place to “be” and especially to “be from”.
Ten years of working as a Product Manager/Business Development for two local companies right out of college gave me lots of travel experience, connections and business knowledge. While I am grateful for all of that, it was not my calling. PEOPLE are my passion. I love meeting people, getting to know people and especially showing them by beloved hometown.
Real estate came into play when my husband and I started buying investment properties in early 2000. I married that love for people and real estate in 2009 when I started working as a Real Estate Agent. I know what you are thinking…2009? What a time to get into real estate (so many were fleeing from it at the time). It was tough but I hung in there and it has made me a successful agent. Adversity is a great teacher!
I have been the fortunate recipient of many production awards over the years. While I am grateful, it’s not about the award, but what it represents; a tapestry of people and relationships, each and every one near and dear to my heart; all price ranges and all walks/stages of life. The resounding feedback I hear is how much they appreciate me being a “REAL” person. What a compliment! I try to always provide REAL professionalism, REAL knowledge and REAL service in every transaction. But above all of that, I am just me, Lori Bayne; an agent that loves her job and cares deeply about her clients.
